I am your Mom
I miss some of your feeds
I forget to change your nappy at times
I choose formula over my own milk on some days
I get annoyed with your relentless crying
I sometimes cannot figure out what is making you uncomfortable

And I make such innumerable mistakes as your ‘newborn’ Mom

But with each passing day, as you’re getting used to this newness
So am I…
Learning my way with you
Getting to know you, one day at a time

I know I will keep making mistakes, some old and some new
But none of these imperfections can lessen what I feel for you

And as you grow older and smarter
